I recieved an email talking about Mcdonald s buying beef from elsewhere, like South America. After reading the email, i went to www.tcfa.org site to research myself. I could n't make sense of it, however I like to know epople's opinion on this if it is true?

The original message is from the Texas Cattle Feeders Association.

It's definatly not the finest meat, but it does have regulations on what goes in there...

personally I think that MD meat is pretty awful anyway, esp if it is american that has been shoved in ship for 5 weeks, thawing and freezing its way to the UK. I think that each MD should use the beef from the country it is based in.

Ewwwwwww McDonald's Never did like that nasty food!!

10mins then I can go get myself a quarter pounder/royale with cheese ;)

Hey with Macca's you throw away the food and eat the carton, tastes about the same :)

Maybe a Big MacRoo wouldn't be to bad ....

Your not supposed to eat the cardboard?
Hmm, I knew people acted strange in that place.

I can't believe people are still going to eat Mickey's crap food? Come on !

Opinion from an American...

Well I'm an American and I haven't even eaten at a McDonald's for over 2 years and thats really not going to the place. I find, and have found the quality of their product going waaaay down ever since my childhood. For the past 5-7 I ate their very rarely for this reason. There is a kind of joke in most places here that make fun of how cheap and nasty MD's can be; as I'm more then sure happens in your countries.

What's more is I get very pissed off that probably the nastiest fast food joint in American, next to Burger King ;), IMHO; gets slammed into people's eyes and, hopefully not, mouths around the world. I personally am not ever eating there again if I can help it; sometimes I go on trips and most the time McDonald's is the only place around. This article just re-establish's my stance on their rank food.

But just to let you know, MOST of the beef bought by American fast food companies is bought from Africa, or South America already. It's regulated but not to the extent American cattle farmers are. And most of the beef in Supermarkets is American cattle, not in fast food places, there are "some" exceptions. That's also why all the lovely rainforests in the world are going bye bye! And all those lovely cow farts, they make great greenhouse gasses. That sounds dumb but if you're getting beef for Millions of people that's Millions upon Millions of cows. Atleast that's what they try and teach us here in America, but most American's just laugh... Hope this helped and I hope others listen =P.

The cheaper the better, that's what it boils down to and not whether or not the food is any good. They might as well remove the word resturant from the name cause IT AIN"T by any means
