I want to use theme without uxtheme or style xp...

I was wondering if there was anyway I could use Themes without Style XP or uxtheme.dll I tried the Uxtheme.dll method before and When I rebooted my computer it said there was an error in explorer.exe and I had to format losing everything, I couldnt even get into safe mode. So I am not willing to try that again... Any other way I can use themes? Isnt there some kind of freeware program? I find it pretty said I spent 200 dollars on Windows XP and I cant even change my damn themes without speding another 20-30$ on some shareware program...

i'm afraid u have to use either stylexp or the uxtheme.dll file
