i have used the xp wizard and networked 2 pc's together, but i cant access the whole drive on other pc to the one im on, i can only get the root, i want unrestricted access to everything on each pc, what do i do ??

That is how XP's Simple File Sharing works. It restricts access to folders like c:\Windows or c:\Program Files when the root is sahred. You would need to use Adcanved Permission Sharing and setup username based permissions for the shares.

Another option is to use Simple File Sharing and simply make a new share of the locked folder.
