Heres the problem. When I download somthing, I get this box that lets me choose where I want to save the file to. In this box on the left side there are several shortcut buttons for various locations for quicker saving. They are Desktop, My Computer, My Recent File, and so on. What I would like to do is place my own shortcut in that part of the window. Can this be done? I really want this dont and its pissing me off. Hope someone out there is a tweak head and knows ov how to do this. Thank you.

The following is only available in XP Pro,

Go to Start->Run, type gpedit.msc
Navigate to-

User Configuration->Administrative Templates->Windows Components->Windows Explorer->Common Open File Dialog

select properties of 'Items displayed in Places Bar', here you can enter your own shortcuts.

Great!! Thanx. Thats just what I wanted. You saved my live man. I was going crazy over here. All this time I thought it was a Reg edit.

also...in xp home i believe you can do that if you run in safe mode, but i'm not sure

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
