I spent an hour searching for this answer, but nothing came close to this problem...
When I tell the computer to 'shutdown/restart' it starts to do exactly this but then presents me with the classic login screen...
Then I have to tell it again to 'shutdown/restart'...
I find this annoying... How do I fix this?

if you have adwatch from adaware, it needs to be updated...that's a bug that was fixed a while back

let's hope that's it

It could also be a service that is hanging and not shutting down. Some Anti Virus will try to access the floppy drive on shut down, and if there is no floppy in the drive, then this may cause you shut down to stall or stop. You could also change the time-out value for apps and services that are not responding.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
