HTTP client

I think you mean a HTTP server (daemon), not client, a HTTP client would be Mozilla/Chimera etc.

Apache is the most used and accepted HTTPd at the moment. If you have WinXPpro you can always just install IIS that comes with it, or if you want something really small and you're only using html pages, take a look over at analogx

:)

analogx's simpleserver does not work. i was writing fast, yea i ment server, sorry.

If you have IIS you could use PHPtriead - it has everything you need ..

IIS is Microsofts web server, it comes with WindowsXP Professional.
PHPTriad is an installation of Apache and PHP.
two very different things.

My point was that if he is looking for a webserver and has IIS - He could use it and have all he needs without needing to use it ...

If you are going to host a webserver from your home computer you might want things like, php, apache, mysql and such ...
