hp printer 1125c?

i have a hp deskjet 1125c printer and i recently changed the ink cartridges and it wont print now i used the 51645a black ink and the C1823d color ink like i am suppose to and it wont print now and the ink light is lit and blinking. what is going on and what should i do to fix this?

Okay Stupid questions.
Did you remove the tape that covers the nozzels?
Are the cartridges seated all the way?
Did you close the latches?
