HP DeskJet 340

I'm running Windows XP Pro formatted as NTFS.
My HP DeskJet 340 installs fine but prints with garbled characters and smudges.
Dual booting back into ME the same document prints fine.
HP website says the latest drivers are already on the Windows disk.
Anyone else with similar problems with this printer?

I have the same printer and use the default XP drivers ... works great


I would remove all instances of the printer and reinstall it
