HP DC5000 network boot

I've got to reimage a system with a bad nic. I put a new card in, its recognized the bios and by XP with no need for extra drivers. If I go into the bios and set the boot order I am only allowed to chose the onboard nic. If I disable the onboard nic than I'm not allowed to boot from the network at all. Is there anyway that I can force this thing to boot with the PCI card?

Apparently the NIC I grabbed out of my big box o nics was bad. Tried a different one and it boots ok.

I'm dumb.
