heh..... apparently.
also found out you need the alternate Ubuntu CD to perform an install without first booting to Live. how retarded is that? woulda saved a lot of time, server space (for them), and my freaking bandwidth had they just had that little feature on the regular disc, and got rid of the "alternate" disc. would it have been so freaking hard to add another little option to the menu that said "install Ubuntu now."?
