have a look in these locations

C:\System Volume Information

C:\Documents and Settings\*username*\Local Settings\Temp

ya need to enable view hidden files first in your folder options

Yep

if ya wanna change the location of where these files are stored
you can do it from system properties \ advanced \ environment variables

try this

system properties \ system restore \ settings

reduce the amount of diskspace restore can use

this will limit the amount of restore points that can be created

for a quick cleanup of restore points

disk drive properties \ disk cleanup \ more options \ *system restore* \ clean up .... (deletes all but the most recent restore point)
