How to turn off the WinXP Startup Logo

How can I disable the logo? I mean the 'Loading winXP(The screen is in black color with Winxp logo and loading...(not the b lue one to prompt for login)' when starting up the computer. ???

add the /noguiboot switch to your boot.ini file. That's located under your C:\drive or root directory. Your last lin ewould look something like this:

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /noguiboot

Or you could also do it by running msconfig and under your boot.ini tab check the /noguiboot box

An ever cooler tweak is adding a wallpaper instead of the default blue. Just map to the .bmp or image file under:

HKEY_Users\.Default\Control Panel\Desktop\Wallpaper
