How to save the sims savegames when i decide to format

hi my pc has windows xp professional on it and i have on it a game i want its savegames saved: the sims with all its expansion packs (livin large, house party, hot date, vacation, unleashed).

i was wondering is there any specific savegame folder or is there certain files u gotta cut n paste out or it etc.

If u need any more info just let me know..

as i do that anyway and paste it to another partition but there must b a way to save the savegames only???
