Hey Guys

I have a question with installing Unbuntu. I got this ISO, which I burned to disc. Computer is set to boot from CD before HDD. Rebooted the computer, it does not read the disc (or it does, but doesnt see anything on it) and then goes right to Windows. By the way, I am installing this on a partitioned hard drive, want to install this to the secondary partition. Any help would be grand.

At the point you have described you shouldn't have any problems. From what I can tell, you burned the ISO to disc wrong, or in someway didn't burn it. It the file was a true file, the cdrom should be booting it up.

The files are definately on the disc. I will re-download and then re-burn and see if anything else comes up. I don't know if it matters, but I opened the iso using Daemon tools and then copied the files over to a CD using the burning software in XP.

Burning Software in XP sucks, and you should burn them directly from the iso you downloaded.

It was the burning software in XP. Thanks for the help!

Now I can't get my wireless card installed. maybe i am biting off more than i can chew here.

If your dual booting with Windows, and have everything setup with windows. It should be working. I know I didn't have to set up anything.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
