How do I install a program so that only one user sees it. I would like my wife to only see the programs she uses because it is easier for her. Right now she sees all the programs that I have and hers. Thanks!

Open Windows Explorer> Documents and Settings> *user name*> Start Menu. You'll need to deal with 3 account folders, your's, your wife's, and 'All Users.'

As the 'all users' folder suggests, anything in that folder can be seen by all users. If the program start stuff is in there, copy it to either of the other accounts and delete it out of all users. You'll get the idea pretty quickly.

Yes, if you go into ?:\Documents and Settings you will find the folders for all the users. Firstly go into the ?:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs folder, and edit the apps entries to those that you want ALL users to see. Secondly, got to your Wifes' folder i.e. ?:\Documents and Settings\Owner \Start Menu\Programs and edit these items to what she needs to see.

Hint: a fair bit of cutting and pasting could be involved.

TOK;)

p.s. I had started typing mine before Lonman answered, so excuse the duplication

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
