how to increase FPS in gaming (counterstrike)

in console playing counter strike u type in cl_showfps 1 to show ur fps. and my friend had a fps of 100, i have 50 he told me how to do it, but hes out of town and out of contact, so if anyone knows how to change it to a higher value i would really appreciate it, thansk.

Change models

You can try changing your player models to some high fps models.
And if you want to know your real fps then type "timerefresh" in the console.

umm .. this should get your frames going .

put this in your "config" found in your cstrike folder.

fps_max 99
fps_modem 99

and also make sure you have vsync off in your video settings.
