I have decided to delete my other partition which is (E:\)

I have windows installed on (C:\).... How can i get it to format??

I cant do it through FDISK cos it says something about logical drives existing but not being defined?

Is there any way to define a logical drive?

I cant boot from the XP cd cos it only gets so far and gives me a hardware error... Which is my zip drive that i havnt got installed anymore but the drivers are still on the partition i want to delete...

Help?

im using windows 98 at the moment cos XP wont install till i format my partition...

Will this still work?

Use partition magic...:) easy to use...and very handy

right click your partition and choose format, or use pm8, or go to a command prompt and type: format e:

I must agree.I dual boot 98/XP. I use PM just like a Disk Management Console in 98.

Works GREAT!

Are you wanting to format or actually delete the partition?

If wanting to format: start -> run -> cmd -> type "format e:" (no quotes)

If installing XP, it should ask in the very begining of the install if you want to format (along with partitioning the HD) the partition that you are installing XP onto and what type of file system to use (FAT32 or NTFS)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
