Hello ...

Please advise if you know how this can be done. I have a Win XP Home edition machine, in which there are 2 users, A (Administrator) and B (User). A installed Adobe Pagemaker in the machine and patch the software, use it, no problem. B logs in by using his own username / password, tries to use Adobe Pagemaker, error comes out. But if it is run as by A, it is alright even when logged on by B.

Any suggestion please? Thank you.

Is B a limited user or an Administrator?

What is the error message? is it generated by windows or pagemaker?

B is the limited user while A is the Administrator.

I logged into Win XP as B. double clicked on the program and an error popup appeared.

Cannot Run PageMaker .. Cannot find PageMaker's registry settings. OK.

But if I right click and use the "run as" service and run the application under A, it is ok.

Whats the work about for this issue please? : )

ooh, this is an interesting one...

if you are comfortable with registry editing, you can go into regedit and change the permissions for the registry entries that pagemaker uses (you'll have to find them first though 🙁 )

the permissions work similarly to the way file permissions work.
