I shared folders with my computer in Windows XP how can I add password to the folder like win98, windows2000.

so when they click on the network in the folder I'm sharing they need to put a password.

You can't. Either you use simple file sharing, and ppl either have read, read/write or no access; or you can use NTFS permissions with normal file sharing and those are user-based. So you can give a specific person access to one folder only, or deny certain folders or files, but not on a file by file basis like you can with 98. There are ways of encrypting data, though, and you should be able find several articles on this in the site.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
