How much watts need to run p4 processor?

How much watts need to run p4 processor? I just installed P4 2.4Ghz, mobo, single hhd , vido card I can turn on but I cant see anything on the monitor screen.

The minimum for a basic machine with a cdrom + cdrw drives shouldn't need more than 350W PSU. However, if you have anything more than this, you should be looking to upgrade the PSU.
It's also a good idea to use a separate power cable for the monitor. i.e plug it straight into the wall socket rather than putting it into the box.

thanks I juts brought a new case with 450W with it. it should be more than enough

Why? The extra connection on the PSU doesn't put any load on the PSU. It's branched just inside the shell of the PSU.

350w minimum, 400+ preferred. Make sure it has the extra +12v P4 mobo connectors as well (the little square one).

Thanks I brought new case told u b4, It got a p4 mobo connector as well thanks anyway.
