how do you send computer message to other computers on the network?

hi

yea i got 3 computers hooked up at home and i want to know how to send messages tru one comp to another. i know win98 had a program called winpop.exe but all 3 comps are using windows xp. i kjnow there is a command to send messages to other comps but i think its. i typed in run i think it was netsend comp bla bla somethin..

please help. i know its some command but i forgot. refresh my memmory pls. give example say comp1 comp2 comp3
