how do you enable windows xp firewall?

pop open control panel
go to Network Connections
Right click your connection
click properties
click the advanced tab (far right)
and its the top option/tick box :)

Maybe you really don't want to...

The Windows firewall is not, um, very robust. I think you may get some opinions here about downloading and using other firewalls that provide much better protection, like SYgate Personal Firewall.

i tried it. it did not work. i'm on window's xp.
