How do you edit a PDF?

Hello everyone!

I play D&D (yes, I admit it) and have a copy of the character sheet in a PDF. I was wondering if there was an easy and preferably free way of adding text so I can just print the finished sheets out and not have to do much writing (I'm lazy!:laugh🙂 I have Adobe Elements 3. I tried using the text tool and that went ok, but when I printed it, all the fine text on the PDF was blurry. Anyone know what to do?
