how do i lower the brightness of my screen?

well your monitor should have some sort of controls built into it.

on mine you just hit the main button then push the arrows down to the brightness option and press that main button again. Then using the arrows again adjust the screen to the disired setting. Then exit.

i'm on a laptop. i can't find any button like that.

normally there is brightness setting under power option or on certain machine you should go to hardware setting . . try to find them under control panel.

everylaptop has a dimmer in the keyboard somewhere, depending on the manufacturere

look for a sun icon, in blue

if you find something like that, hit the fn button, and the sun button, and that'll do it.

or some such...every manufacturer can do it their own way
