How do I get rid of Windows/MSN Messenger???

Please can you explain how I can uninstall the MSN messenger. It is so annoying.
If able, can you explain it as simply as possible! 😉 I have looked on the site for how to do it and I found an article, but I dont understand what it means..... i.e Navigate to C:windowsinf ....how do I navigate?!
