here is my desktop, and i do like it a lot:
desktop

but, this is what I don't like:
mess.jpg

where the arrow is point too, it makes this white outlined stuff around the file menus on almost every program expect for IE. . . Is this the theme maker being lazy or is this XP? any way to fix this problem? Thanks for your time.

Look in control panels-->system--->advanced-->performance settings--->visual effects tab. Scroll through. What is ticked and not ticked there?

try ticking smooth scroll-list boxes. If that doesnt work, At the top, click on Adjust for Best Appearance. That should solve it.

happens to me sometimes too..just apply the theme once again in appearance, then reboot and ur all set..or atleast u should be...hope this helps:)

edit/ it's got nothing to do with the visual effects etc. talked about in the other replys...just that the theme sometimes doesent apply "to it's fullest" sometimes...

neither suggestions worked.... :(

i'm using the hacked uxtheme.dll file..... would that have an effect on it?

I've found that it happes with active desktop. as soon as i put some html on my desktop that happened. it also fouls up any icons that you put over the active desktop area.

its dissabled :(

well, then that rules that out then doesn't it :)

ummm, that's the only think that i can think of

Are you running in NTFS? The reason I ask is because I had the same problem when I was running in NTFS instead of FAT32. As for a solution, I am also yet to come up with one.

yep, NTFS, and theres no way id go back to crap32....

so no one thinks it has to do with me using the hacked uxtheme.dll file??

grrr i hate this - does anyone know how to get over this - except windowsblinds... cos that would obviously work. i'm pretty sure it is a problem with the windows skinning engine...

all you have to do is SWITCH the theme then switch back to the original and it will be ok. it happened to me. epunk helped me out tho

I get this aswell.

Right click on your desktop > Properties > Appearance > Advanced

Change the Menubar colour in there to match your theme.

Ok on that, Apply, Ok, and Log off, then back on again.

Fixed.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
