How Did You Find Forums?

I think I was either looking for XP themes or a problem of some kind. Did a search for XP (not sure it was google, might have been altavista in those days) and bang, 2 years later, here i am 🙂

WinXP was about to come out, and I was trying to find a site with all kinds of XP info and support from other users. XP-erience.org was the result of my search, and I became a member on December 29, 2001. 😀

Before I installed XP for the first time (from that virus called WinME), I was looking around for info on the NTFS file system. Found xp-erience and stuck around for a while.

I too was searching for XP related stuff at work.
I can't remember now if it was google, or a link from a site google provided.
Either way that I wound up here...joined, lurked for a while, then started posting.

About February 2002: I believe I was on Tweakers.net (Dutch site), when I stumbled upon a link to xp-erience.org (still a loss we lost that name 🙁) with more information. I was thinking about joining Tweakers.net forums (Gathering of Tweakers), but then I saw this (not exactly 'this', but you get the point) community. Because I find English is a much cooler language than Dutch, I joined this site instead of the other.
I didn't post much the early months, I was more of a leecher, I asked a question, got the answer and left. The following months I saw more and more questions I could answer as well, and so I kinda helped people with their problems. But, the more I felt at home, the more I talked with other members and I spammed a lot more. Luckily in Nov 2002 Spammers Paradise was created by xsivforce, keeping the NTFS spammin' behind and transfer my spamskills to SP.
Now, with this 'new' site, fresh beginning, I'll try to stick around more, now more seriously.
