How did Google dig itself into my life?

Hi all,

It is not much of a question, but more of a query.

I didn't realize how much google has become part of my life until I bought 20gig of google storage space from google for $5/year just a few minutes ago, because I want to upload the rest of my life onto a google server somewhere.

gmail, picassa, gdocs, webpages, android, newsreader, maps, calendar, finance, analytics, chrome, igoogle, etc.....

I look at this list and I almost want to cry. Me, being the "crazy" privacy geek amongst my family and friends.

I don't have a facebook account, because I don't want one. I chuckle at those who are willing to lose their total privacy to facebook, but yet I am doing it with google apps.

Although I am married, google has become my main mistress, (all other mistresses have been pushed aside too, LOL).

How did Google worm it's way into my life like this?

This is my life as well (minus the paying for services). I remember when they unveiled gmail and I swore it off .... now I couldn't live without it. :nervous: I guess the fact that Google is very geeky and if they are collecting data on me they aren't using it to push ads and spam down my throat at every turn like every other company.

I don't know man, happens to everyone though.
I'm not as bad as you, but I use Gmail, Android, Youtube, and Chrome at times. Google just knows how to do it. Hopefully they don't take advantage of us like BestBuy has done since they beat out all their competition.

If ya think about it. Check out them commercials bout android phones from verizon and how the users start becoming robotic. Hmmmmm
