How can I use 2 monitors na Win XP 2000 and Suse Linux???

Thank you :eek: ::confused:

Im not exactly sure because well you left out some needed info like your vid card and so on lol

and i hope your not thinking both OS at once

There are lotsa different ways to use two different monitors at once. Some companies like nvidia and ATI make dual monitor cards. That way you can preserve precious pci slots if you need to (mine only has three, dang server boards). Another way is to just grab another cruddy video card, throw it on one of your pci slots right next to the existing one, and plug another monitor in. Provided you have Windows XP, it will most generally work automatically. We have three machines here running dual monitors and XP handles all that stuff automatically. Be sure to have your main video on the first slot (slot 0). Many bios' will not understand that you have multi-monitor, so you will not get anything untl XP starts up! Also, if you have on board (motherboard) video, most often you will have to disable it and use two cards instead (this is probably a jumper setting on the mother board).

Sure, but you can't do two different OS on the same computer at the same time, no matter how many monitors or vid cards you got.

:cool:

lol wich is why i said in 1st place need more info than what is given to really know if anyone can answer thier problem ;)

you can absolutely run two os's on one computer. Try emulating apple II or SNES. You can run an emulator on another screen.

Emulator yes, OS system no,

You can't have XP and Linux running on the same box and at the same exact time, period.

:cool:

You can have XP and Linux on the same machine, but they can't both be up and running at the same time. and who would want to run a apple II emulater anyway? or SNES ?

:cool:

damn it i used to run SNES emulater lol they are fun when you are real bored and wanna play an old game hehe

Iceman... You actually can =)

Ahh... the good ole world of Virtual Machine =)... VMWare lets you "boot" again. So I got WinXP while i got Linux running in a window =)

Its not free but 30 day test drive... very good program...

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
