I have a sony dru-710 dvd writer that I have hooked up externally via usb 2.0. I am wondering how I can make it bootable. I am also thinking about just mounting it locally into my dell, and taking my cdr out. You think that would be a better idea ??

Go into your BIOS. If it's supported, you should be able to set the primary boot device to USB. If it doesn't look like an option, make sure you have the latest BIOS version.

Giver a go!

Ep, glad to see you come back and tidy up...did want to ask a one day favor, I want to enhance my resume , was hoping you could make me administrator for a day, if so, take me right off since I won't be here to do anything, and don't know the slightest about the board, but it would be nice putting "served administrator osnn", if can do, THANKS
