Can you hot-swap PS2 devices (my keyboard is what I want to swap)? I have heard in the past that it's dangerous for the electronics, but is it really?

ive done it before, but i try to stay away from it.
honestly, i have no idea what it will do over time, so as a precaution, i dont do it a lot.

Well... sometimes I have to unplug and plug the keyboard back in on our old computer to be able to re-initialize it.
They follow the same standard, so I don't see how it would damage your keyboard.

There are switchboxes that hot-swap keyboards, mices and monitors between different computers, that would be more dangerous as they use different power sources.

I've done it quite a few times on my desktop at home. Never seems to have caused a problem.

I've done it quite a few times (unintentionally, lol) no damage but my keyboard and mouse stop working after doing it until I reboot.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
