Hey. Over this upcoming weekend, I will be setting up my home network to extend beyond the two computers. I will now be using a router [built in hub]. There will be 4 computers. How would I go about doing this? Two of the computer [3 total] will be running win XP, the other being WIN ME. I have a cable modem connection, which will now run into the router. I will then have the router run seperate lines into each computer [CAT 5 CABLES]. Should this work fine? Any ideas?

Just plug them in and make sure all IP information is set to obtain automatically. Also check the workgroup names so they are the same and computer names are different if you are sharing files as well. Also if sharing files ensure that any 95/98/ME computers are not running NetBEUI and that NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
