Ok so set up is i have 2 computers. both with storage arrays. One has a lot of processing power and i want to use this box to encode the hd storage to move over to xbox and all that.

all thoes apps are set up but.... there is a lot of storage on the other computer.

I want to make a high speed link between these 2 systems so it can read the files from pc A and then process and brodcast from pc B.

other than just a cross over gb nic. are there any other ways?

10gig ethernet? Fiber link? both probably out of your price range.. :)

edit:
seriously though.. how much data you talking about and what kind of storage array behind it?
a gig link should do around 100-125MBytes/sec. which is around 6GB of data every minute.. if your disk can keep up.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
