hide recycle bin icon (win xp)

how would i do this? i use objectdock which has a recycle bin...

or better yet, how would i set up the desktop to hide all icons? in win98 they had an option of "view desktop as webpage" or something like that, but in XP it was modified to show the desktop and webpage, with no option to hide the desktop completely.

Right click desktop > arrange icons by > untick "show desktop icons"

To hide only the recycle bin use TweakUi

or add this registry value

{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} REG_DWORD 0x00000001

to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel
or/and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\ClassicStartMenu

If any of the above keys isn't there, create it.

Using tweakui or doing the right click-and then un-checking show desktop icons works ..
