Can you change how long it takes for the hide inactive symbol to come on. I would like to change it to around 10 minutes, instead of having it longer.

Can it be done some place in the CONTROL PANEL or the REGISTRY?

thanks

which inactive icons u mean ?

which ones u mean? Desktop ? Taskbar ? System tray ? Start Menu ?

start>settings>taskbar and startmenu
settings are all there

The Symbol in the NOTIFICATION area...by the clock

I'm talking about the "circle with an arrow in it" icon that comes up after a long time to hide open applications on the task bar.

Its at the bottom righthand corner where the clock is...notification area on the taskbar

Again, Does anyone know who to change the time before the hide icon symbol appears?

as i said
start>settings>taskbar & Startmenu
in taskbar tab
uncheck the hide inactive icons

Slumpy would like to know if there is a time limit somewhere that tells XP that the icon is inactive and may be hidden, If he can change that time to hide them quicker. I do not think there is, but there might be somewhere in the registry. Anyone have any clues?

heh yah i guess the setting would be in the registry SOMEWHERE,, might take a bit of searching through the shell folder extensions to find it,, but you might try some keywords like,, inactive

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
