I use AIM with AIM+ (a 3rd party addon) and I have seen screenshots with AOL Instant Messenger in away mode, except the annoying away window isn't on the start menu (bar)... anyone have any idea how this is done?
Quite easy to do, actually.
Open up AIM Preferences, switch to the "Buddy List" category on the left, and check the box marked "Hide taskbar button when buddy list window is minimized."
This option hides the away msg window from the taskbar when you click the minimize button as well.
Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
