Hidden Hardrive

Hi guys i'd just like to know if you can still access the hidden part of your hardrive when you install a different operation system.

for example, when i bought my pc it came with windows ME and i know have XP pro running. I have reformatted a couple of times when i messed up my pc but there always seems to be 8mb of drive which stays seperate to the rest when i do this.
is this the part of the drive where a copy of ME will be stored forever or can i merge this space with the rest of the drive?

Thanks.

The 8 MB of space that remains behind is used for the installation of temporary files when you install Windows 2000/XP. In a sense, the only way to get rid of that is to simply use a third party partitioning program and create a partition on your drive from there. Otherwise, the 2000/XP software will leave behind an 8MB space.

8mb. think about it. only big enough for, say, a couple songs.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
