ive noticed that w2k does not use more than 16 colours in its notification icons (near the clock) like xp does. eg the msn icon and nav2003 look a bit dodgy compared to what they look like in xp. is there any way to use hi-colour (16 bit + ) icons in w2k?

I just peeked in the Knowledge base from MS, but I couldn't find anything.

It seemed to work. My OpenOffice.org tray button looks better, but msn and nav havent changed, though while signing in msn looks better, but goes back to the old one when signed in.

thanks for all the help though :)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
