hi been awhile anywy got a problem

i have a mitsumi cd-r-rw CR-485GTE drive and installed it '(of course'} and it spun up with a disk in it came back down and sorta stalled and kept pace and my comp locked up. restarted and the bois could see it but would nt run what happend?

hmm i had a problem with a sony dvd rom similar to what you're saying.
did it work at one time?

Is it on it's own IDE channel, if not what else is on with it? Also is it set as master or slave? If something else is on the same IDE channel make sure both are not set to master/slave.

um yes & no it didnt work at 1time....take that back.. it was used to install 2cds and then wouldnt work spinup calibrate spindown and over and over.

i havent put it back in for a while bcs i just got mad at it and I have a dvd player also.
