I installed XP on my computer, but I didn't see the option for clean install. Now my computer was upgraded.



I wanted to clean install so I could go back and forth


How can I down grade back to 98?

If you upgraded from Windows 98, go to Add/Remove Programs, then uninstall Windows XP. You should’ve gotten a clean install though…don’t know that problem…

To do a clean install you need to go into the BIOS and change the boot sequence to boot to the CD first, save and exit the BIOS, it will prompt you to press any key to boot to CD, press any key and XP will load the files that are necessary for installation, then it will give you the option to reformat the drive before installing, just reformat in either FAT32 or NTFS and install XP. Make sure you go back into the BIOS and reset the boot sequence after the installation is complete.
