help!

i seem to have a program that is attempting to access the net on boot up. i get a screent hat says that it is attempting to access clickspring.net. but i cannot trace the program on my system. i use win xp pro, any suggestions or help in anyway to trace this program would help, thanks

If you where to install a firewall such as Tiny (free) it would tell you what applications are trying to connect, and where to.

First try add/remove programs in control panel. See if anything listed doesn't match what you know you installed and remove it.

If that doesn't work, try using Ad-ware to kill it. If it's spyware (and it sounds like it is)Ad-ware will kill it (and it's free).

Other thing you can do is get a firewall like Zone Alarm that allows you to selectively block outgoing traffic.
