Help With Desktop/Systray Crashing!

I found an MPEG2 Codec pack for WinXP so they would play in WMP9 and it works. But everytime i play a MPEG2 file the Desktop/Systray crash and comeback. It came with a Install.bat file and the 3 files below. How can i unregister those files so i can delete those files safely. Or can i just delete and be done with it?

install all four files in c:/windows/system 
doublw click on install.bat  
this will allow u to watch svcd in media player!!

Install.bat

Regsvr32.exe clvsd.ax
Regsvr32.exe mmsplit.dll
Regsvr32.exe iviaudio.ax

Do a system restore if the restore point is recent enough.

Or you could get those files & move them, reboot & see the effect that had. If it is OK delete them.
