Thanks guys.

Thanks static 99 and lonman!

will check it out with my vendor to see if they can change the ram sticks.........gave up on acer help line as they don`t seem to know anything.......................

or maybe change the whole computer!! :-0

By the way what does error: 0x40000080( 0x00000000,0x00000000,0x00000000,0x00000000) means?

all the errors that i have seem to happen halfway when i am on my computer..

Does every blue screen error page have th begining dump of physical memory msg?

TTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnkkkkkks!!!!

that says it cant read/write to memory.
I got round it by upping the ram voltages

Thanks gonzo.

But how do i up the voltages? I am still new to computers, thanks!

1st you need to check to see if your motherboard supports voltage change, read the book you got with it &/or have a look on the web for spec's on it.

I used to get alot of Blue Screens also which were Stop errors for my Windows XP Pro but *touch wood* its calmed down abit.. ive never understood what the stop errors meant because they usually came up when i wasnt even doin anythin

Sincerly Alex

Ya alex,

know what you mean with the scary blue screens ........... hope things will be better when service pack 1 xp comes out.(whatever it does anyway in reality t your computer ).

Thanks gonzo, will check out the voltage increase to ram.

I`am drowning in the deep blue sea........................................................

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
