can anyone help me?have a laptop that has got xppro on it but the sticker and producy key underneath says microsoft 2000. the laptop wont boot properly and i have a disk forxp but no product key microsoft gave me 2 but they did notwork. a repair man syas xp needs installing properly soi just need a xp disc with a producy key. any one help?

Something to keep in mind though - if the OEM sticker says Windows 2000 on the bottom, there is a small chance the key that you will find is for an upgrade installation. If that is the case, it wont' work if the "repair guy" is trying to do a re-install of the OS.
