Help need to print off my son's homework

my printer has stopped working and is showing error of not connected but it is can any one help it is a epson 580

First try to restart the computer. If that don't work try reinstalling the drivers. Should have put this in the Other Hardware forum

have you tried to just remove the printer and then re-add it??
