help!!! IE open zip file on click on default instead of popup to ask you

IE open zip/exe/rar, etc within the browswer on click on default instead of popup and ask what do you want to do save/open or cancel. I have to right-click and choose "save-as" in order to save it, and sometimes a link is redirect, which I can't do anything.

How do i fix this problem?

In Explorer, go Tools, Folder Options, File Types Tab, then scroll down the list until you see winzip files (Or something similar)

Click the advanced button. There should be a tick box "confirm open after download"

It doesn't work. IE does everyone find except compression files. When I clicked a link or the gets redirect to a compression files. IE just d/l it in the browser, can't open it or save it.

You need to go to each file type (.rar, .zip, .exe) in the folder options and set them to "confirm on download".

yes, they are confirm. but it didn't work. donno why. and i can't reinstall ie to have it set back to default.
