help,cdrom gone!!!

Hope someone can help,both of my cdroms have disappeared.
In properties it says cannot load device driver.
In my computer there are no icons for the 2 drives.
Now,the last thing I did was install and uninstall cdrwin.thought I needed it but then discovered I did'nt need it atall.
I am assuming that the uninstall of the program took something that it should'nt have,I have'nt got the foggiest what the problem is so I am looking for a little help.
I know it's probably something simple but can't figure it!

If the drives are plug and play, remove them from your computer. Bootup the system. Then turn it off and plug them back in. It should redetect the drives and reinstall them.

Fixed it by doing system restore,to just before I installed cdrwin.
Cured it straight away.

Glad I left system restore on.
