Right, now im testing the fan on LOW 3000RPM (24dba).

The noise is so harmonic now, I could prolly sleep next to the comp

Bare in mind that I did just bootup the system.

If it stays between 52-62c under full load then Im gonna keep it at the low setting

Yes temps look okay with that setting right now, however, keep a eye out on the temps at that low setting, set your temp alarm. you should do fine.

I set the CPU temp threshold to 65c. Thats about right isnt it?

Sounds good to me, but if the temp stays up there around 62-63C under full load I would consider turning it up to medium. You used Artic Silver 3 compound didn't you? and you just built that puter didn't you?

Yeah its the first system I built but before that I had been fitting in my own sound cards, ram and hdds.

I did use Artic Silver III compound but the CPU temp does seem quite high to me.

My PC is still under full load and the temp isnt going over 60c. I hope it stays that way coz the fan doesnt sound very loud now.

Update: It just went up to 62c. LOL I'm gonna notch the fan back up to Medium

from what I understand about that artic silver, it takes a while for that to get settled, so you have to watch the temps for the first liitle bit, after that no worries.
