Still beta. Front page suggests full pack will be end of the month:

The inquirer are reporting : It looks like the new SP1 for XP will be shipping very soon.

"INDUSTRY SOURCES close to Microsoft's plans say that certain OEMs will be proved with service pack one as early as the end of this month."

The patch from Windows Update will take a couple of MBs. The patch for administrators will take 120MB, Then there's the complete install (550MB+) with the patches inside."

Something I could never figure out...

This happened to me with Win2k...
Running SFC changes the files back to what they originaly where because SFC uses the original CD...

Go figure...
