Hardware refresh rates

Got a question here for you good folks... do I determine maximum refresh rate using teh monitor's vertical or horizontal refresh rate? I'd like to crank it up if possible but want to be careful not to burn out my monitor..

KDS Avitron 17"
Horizontal Scan Frequency: 30-70KHz
Vertical Scan Frequency: 50-160Hz

200Hz seems to beth high end refresh rate of the Radeon 8500 64MB..

You have to look at your monitor's manual or makers website to see what the max refresh rates are for your monitor at each resolution..every monitor is different and the max refresh changes with resolution. most monitors will give a black screen and say out of range or over frequency if you move to a unsupported rate, but some don't and those ones will burn out in short time.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
